The summer fun continues at Main Street Market with Back to School! As students prepare for the new academic year, the Market is the perfect place to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables for school lunches. You can also find an assortment of back-to-school trinkets for backpacks or thoughtful gifts for new teachers. And that’s not all— United Way Geary County will have a Bus ready to Stuff with much-needed school supplies to support teachers and students in Geary County. Bring an item or two to help a good cause. Looking for a new job opportunity? Head over to the market and visit the table set up by First Student Inc., the new bus company, for USD 475. They’ll be showcasing available employment opportunities, giving you a chance to explore potential careers.
Don’t forget to grab a delicious breakfast or lunch at Cynthia’s One Bite Delight Food Truck. Treat yourself to some delightful bites as you enjoy a day filled with excitement and shopping at Main Street Market.

Mark your calendars for August 19th and join the Hogs and Dogs micro event! Motorcycle enthusiasts will gather at the lot across from Godfrey’s Tactical Shooting Range to raise funds and awareness for the local animal shelter. This family-friendly event will also feature local food trucks and animals from the shelter, making it a perfect day out for everyone.
Labor Day JCHS and St. X Alumni Weekend:
September 2nd Labor Day! Brings the JCHS and St. X Alumni Weekend. The event will host a car and motorcycle show near Main Street Market, aiming to raise funds for both the animal shelter and the Geary County Food Bank. It’s a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni and make a positive impact on the community.
Christmas Market(s) – A Dicken’s Christmas:
Even though it’s still summer, it’s never too early to plan for the festive season. Get ready for the Christmas Markets at Main Street Market, with two exciting options to choose from. The theme this year is “A Dicken’s Christmas,” promising an enchanting experience for all visitors.
On November 24th, join the Market around Heritage Park on Jefferson and 5th Streets, starting from 5:30 PM. After the Parade, enjoy the holiday lights display at Heritage, witness the tree lighting ceremony, and meander through the Market.
On December 2nd, the Market will be at 8th and Jefferson, the summer Market’s usual location, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, coinciding with Hometown Christmas celebrations.
Both Christmas Markets will feature a delightful array of vendors, entertainment, and food to get you into the festive spirit and help you find unique gifts for your loved ones.
