Vendors are required to:

  1. Apply to be a vendor through our Junction City Main Street website.
  2. If selected to be a vendor, pay the booth fee at the time of opportunity acceptance.
  3. Notify the Events Coordinator by 4 pm on Friday, September 13th, 2024 if you won’t be in attendance for the Yesteryear Market. A refund will not be issued.
  4. Vendors are expected to be good ambassadors for the market. Use of tobacco, vaping, profane language, drugs, and alcohol consumption are not allowed. Socially acceptable behavior is expected. Selling techniques should be in good taste. Distracting or deterring customers from approaching another vendor’s stall is discouraged.
  5. Remain at the market until closing time to avoid safety hazards for customers and vendors. Exceptions will be kept to a minimum, should be discussed with and approved by the Events Coordinator, and will be assigned a space by the Events Coordinator to ensure safety in the market area.
  6. Bring their own tables, chairs, and display items.
  7. Clean up their space and take any trash with them when they leave.
  8. Set their own prices but are strongly encouraged to remain competitive with other vendors.
  9. Communicate any questions, concerns, or constructive ideas to the Events Coordinator.
  1. The vendor map (or vendor communication) will be emailed to vendors no later than Wednesday, September 25th, 2024.

  5. Each vendor is responsible for their own property and any damage or injury their property may cause at the market.
  6. Vendor booths are located in a grassy lot with no electrical connections. Generators may be used, provided they operate quietly to avoid distracting or disrupting fellow vendors. Additionally, no automotives are permitted on the field, therefore moving assistance through wagons, dollies or manpower is highly recommended.
  7. Each vendor will pay a $50 Yesteryear Market fee which will include one 10’x10′ booth space. Any additional space after that, with a maximum of three total stalls, will be an additional $25 each.
  8. Stall fees may be paid by cash or cashier’s check or through the website by debit or credit card. Checks are made payable to Junction City Main Street with Yesteryear Market written in the memo.  Checks may also be dropped into the mailbox slot located at the Main Street office at 129 W 7th Street.

    a. Vendors applying for space in the market must have a Kansas States Sales Tax number prior to participating as a market vendor. Any out-of-state vendors that sell products only once or twice, yearly in Kansas, will need to utilize a “Special Events” Sales Tax Remittance Form.
    b. The collection and submission of sales tax is the responsibility of each vendor selling products in the market and Junction City Main Street is not responsible for any vendor’s failure to collect and submit sales to the Department of Revenue.
