2026 Boos & Chills

As autumn settles over downtown Junction City, the stories of the past begin to stir. From unexplained happenings to local legends, Boos & Chills invites teens to experience Downtown JC in a whole new way through spooky storytelling, guided tours, and eerie fun.

Join Junction City Main Street on Saturday, October 17th for a special teen-only edition of our annual haunted history event.

The 7:00 PM and 7:10 PM tour groups will be reserved exclusively for teen attendees and feature:
• A guided walking tour through historic downtown
• Chilling stories and local legends
• Interactive and immersive moments along the route
• One complimentary dirty soda or lemonade from a local business included with each ticket
• A safe, monitored environment led by JC Main Street and JC Little Theater volunteers

Guests are encouraged to dress up, bring friends, and enjoy a night full of mystery, history, and Halloween fun.

Boos & Chills is designed to be a fun, welcoming, and safe experience for teens while supporting downtown Junction City and future community projects through Junction City Main Street.

The evening begins at the historic C.L. Hoover Opera House. Dare to discover the stories hidden in the streets of downtown Junction City… if you’re brave enough.

Spend the evening with us on Saturday, October 17th, 2026. Tickets are $10 per person, plus an additional $1 processing charge. Each ticket includes 1 complimentary dirty soda or lemonade from a local business.

What to Expect
Boos & Chills will take place on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 in Downtown Junction City. Check-in will begin at the C.L. Hoover Opera House, where attendees will be paired with their walking groups before the evening begins. Each tour group will consist of a maximum of 15 participants and will depart approximately every 10 minutes beginning between 7:00 PM–7:10 PM. Tours last roughly 1 hour, so please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in. Tours will depart promptly at their scheduled times. Once checked in, your group will make its first stop to redeem your complimentary dirty soda/lemonade drink ticket before setting off into downtown. From there, groups will travel to various locations throughout the district where guides will share the eerie, haunted, and sometimes wretched stories hidden within Junction City’s past. This event takes place outdoors, so attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Costumes are welcome (and encouraged!) but not required.
