Root & Bloom Mercantile is much more than a clothing closet, it’s a place where neighbors help neighbors. Operating as a ministry of Unedited Life Church at their worship location, 902 Jefferson St., Root & Bloom serves our community through clothing donations, meaningful connections, and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through its doors.

During our visit, we learned that the organization is currently in need of men’s clothing donations, particularly underwear and socks. As they transition from winter inventory to spring and summer items, they also welcome seasonal clothing, household goods, and handmade items from community members looking to give back.

There are many ways to support Root & Bloom’s mission:

• Donate clothing, seasonal items, or handmade goods
• Drop off donations and shop their closet on Fridays & Saturdays from 10 AM – 3 PM
• Volunteer your time, whether stocking shelves or greeting visitors
• Partner as a local maker, grower, or artist to share your products and talents

Looking ahead, Root & Bloom is dreaming even bigger, with plans to develop a community garden at Goose Creek Farms, creating even more opportunities to connect people with resources, education, and one another.
