Junction City Main Street is proud to announce the resounding success of the JC Cattle Drive, an event that brought together the community in a
vibrant celebration of local heritage. The enthusiasm and dedication of participants and supporters played a crucial role in making this event an outstanding achievement. Our staff and volunteers extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took part in and supported the JC Cattle Drive. A special acknowledgment goes to the generous sponsors whose contributions were instrumental in bringing this event to life. The base sponsor for the last and final JC statue was Union Pacific. This statue is one of ten strategically placed around Junction City, each celebrating a unique theme. Past themes have included agriculture, the great outdoors, 9th Street and its historically Black-owned businesses, and a tribute to veterans and military service members.

Miss CPRA was then preceded by the 1st Infantry Division’s Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard. Attendees were delighted to see history come to life with these captivating displays. The event also featured the incredible work of muralist Diana Hanson, whose artistic contributions were highly appreciated by attendees. The idea for the cattle drive originated from Deanne Munson, who sought to celebrate the hardworking farmers and ranchers of the area. Her vision has helped honor the rich heritage of Junction City and its agricultural roots. The community’s support has been overwhelming and Junction City Main Street is looking forward to future events that continue to celebrate the spirit and heritage of our great town!
