From the unveiling of the JC Statue to the Bike Boulevard Ribbon Cutting, Wheels of Hope/Food Pantry Capital Campaign Kickoff, and Main Street Market’s Mural Mania, there’s something for everyone. But that’s not all – Mother Nature has a stellar treat in store for us on this special day: the Ring of Fire Partial Solar Eclipse! This astronomical wonder will grace the skies of Kansas from 10:16 AM to 1:24 PM, with approximately 61% of the sun being blocked for a time.

With these glasses, you can safely view the beauty of the eclipse while perusing the wares of our fantastic Market vendors. But remember, supplies are limited, so don’t miss out! If you’re in the mood for some seasonal splendor, Barbra Flores Farms has you covered. They’re offering a dazzling array of fall-colored mums in 8-inch pots. You can snag five for just $20 or opt for individual pots at $5 each. These blooms will add a touch of autumn magic to your porch, so don’t forget to stop by.

Mural Mania Unleashed

Mural Mania is all about breathing life into Downtown Junction City’s alleyways, and there is an incredible lineup for you. Mindy Allen of Mindy’s Murals has curated a talented group of local and regional artists, some hailing from as far as Nebraska and Missouri. Even one of our beloved Market vendors, Sarah Frost with Chasing Roo Designs, will be showcasing her artistic prowess. The creative spectacle unfolds in the Alleyway between 7th and 8th Streets and Jefferson and Washington throughout the morning and day on Saturday. Come witness the magic!

Artistic Adventure for All Ages

Calling all budding artists! We’ve set up a special area for kids and adults to join in the artistic fun. Grab some chalk and let your creativity flow as you show your camaraderie with the visiting artists. It’s a wonderful opportunity to express your artistic side and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.

Unveiling of the 7th JC Statue

The unveiling of Junction City Main Street‘s 7th JC Statue is set for 9:00 AM, and it’s aptly dedicated to the Geary County Outdoors statue. Join us in front of 120 W 7th Street to witness this remarkable moment in our community’s history.

Bike Boulevard Ribbon Cutting

At 9:15 AM, Livewell Geary County will be cutting the ribbon for the 7th Street Bike Boulevard at the corner of 7th and Jefferson. And here’s a bonus – Livewell is raffling an adult bike! The drawing will be held at 7th and Clay, so don’t miss your chance to pedal away with a fantastic prize.

Wheels of Hope/Food Pantry Capital Campaign Kickoff

From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Wheels of Hope/Food Pantry Capital Campaign Kickoff will be in full swing at 7th and Clay Streets. This event marks the future home of the Geary County Food Pantry and Wheels of Hope. Get ready for a pumpkin carving contest, a captivating car show, games, delectable food, and much more.

Calling all vendors! Our registration for Junction City Main Street Market’s A Dickens Christmas Market(s) is now open. Head to our registration page for all the information you need. This enchanting event spans two dates: November 24th, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, on 5th Street adjacent to Heritage Park, taking place after the Junction City Holiday Parade. The festivities continue on December 2nd as part of Main Street’s Hometown Christmas, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, on the corner of 8th and Jefferson.
