We hope everyone is staying cool in this very hot weather we are having. This week at Main Street Market we have our long-awaited Kid’s Business Fair which is thanks in part to our sponsor Acton who holds Children’s Business Fairs all over the United States and the world. Come see young entrepreneurs between the ages of 6 and 17 who have been hard at work to bring something special to the Market. Each with their own product(s) to showcase and sell. Come vote for “People’s Choice” and for your favorite in each of the age categories by checking out every booth. Help them start their businesses off right by buying some of their wares. The Kids Business Fair is from 9:30-11:30 on the third row of the Market.

German Kitchen will be at the Market this week serving up some delicious German dishes. Come purchase a plate of schnitzel while you peruse the vendor stalls at both the Market and Kid’s Business Fair.

It has been getting hotter at the Market as the weeks go on. We encourage vendors and the community to stay hydrated, wear sun protection, and know when it’s time to find shade. We also encourage those with pets to have the proper protection for their paws on the blacktop at the Market. There is water and soda available by donation at the Main Street Market Booth.

The Market now has a token system for those wanting to utilize their SNAP/EBT benefits at the Farmers Market. Come by the Main Street Market booth and use your card to obtain tokens. In addition, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons and Healthy Pathways Healthy Food Prescription coupons are accepted at select vendors. We cannot redeem Livewell Geary County Market Bucks at Main Street Market.
